WHERE: Huron River Dr between Mast Rd and Zeeb Rd in Scio Township
WHY: Road resurfacing
BACKGROUND: Starting on Monday, May 2, 2022, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Huron River Dr between Mast Rd and Zeeb Rd in Scio Township for a road resurfacing project. For the past few weeks, WCRC crews have been making drainage improvements ahead of this road resurfacing project.
The road will reopen at the end of each day and remain open until work resumes the following morning. Access will be maintained for school buses, emergency responders and people who live or work within the work zone.
The road resurfacing is expected to take approximately one week. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.

WHY: Culvert replacements
BACKGROUND: Starting today, Thursday, April 7, 2022, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Huron River Dr between Mast Rd and Zeeb Rd in Scio Township for crossroad culvert replacements.
Once the new culverts are placed, temporary limestone will be placed to maintain traffic. The work is being completed ahead of a road resurfacing project planned for later this spring.
The road will reopen at the end of each day and remain open until work resumes the following morning.
The work is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
Access will be maintained for residents and property owners who live or work within the work zone, but no traffic will be allowed to cross the culverts during replacement.
