The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will rehabilitate the concrete pavement on Zeeb Road, spanning from Park Road to Interstate 94 in Scio Township. Construction is slated for 2028, with a specific start date to be announced as the project approaches. This project will coincide with the construction of the roundabout at the intersection of Park Rd and Zeeb Rd.
As a critical regional artery, Zeeb Road serves as a vital connector for residents, commuters, and businesses across Washtenaw County. The Zeeb Road Pavement Rehabilitation project is funded through a combination of the Michigan Transportation Fund (MTF) and the local Four-Year County-wide Roads and Non-Motorized Millage.
“Preserving this highly traveled primary road is essential for the safety and mobility of our community,” said Neeko Robison, WCRC Project Engineer. “By investing in this infrastructure now, we are ensuring that Washtenaw County’s motorists will benefit from a smoother, more reliable roadway for decades to come.”
To facilitate the upgrades, WCRC contractors will implement single-lane closures throughout the project zone between Park Road and I-94. Traffic will be maintained in a single lane adjacent to the active construction area. Due to the high volume of daily traffic on Zeeb Road, motorists are strongly advised to plan ahead and expect delays in travel.
WCRC will host a virtual public information meeting regarding this project in Spring 2028. For more information visit the project page https://www.wcroads.org/wcrc-project/zeeb-road-concrete-project/
