Work Will Carry Over

By October 25, 2018Project Updates

Unfortunately, the labor stoppage from earlier this Fall has impacted the timeline for the Textile Road reconstruction project and we will not be able to get all the planned work done before Winter. We are working with our contractors to complete as much work as possible before inclement weather stops progress. The goal is to finish Textile Road between State Road and Campbell Road as well as Platt Road to Michigan Avenue this year. The remaining portion between Campbell Road and Platt Road will be worked on in 2019, along with the Textile-Platt Greenway.

In the meantime, our contractors have been able to make some significant progress over the past month. This week, crews were able to complete much of the curb installation along Textile Road from Marton Drive to Campbell Road. Check out the drone photo below to see the progress.

As we get closer to Winter, we will provide additional progress updates. If you have questions, please contact Mark McCulloch, project manager, (734)327-6679 or mccullochm@wcroads.org.
