The snow has certainly started earlier than we would have liked this fall. Since we were not able to complete all of the Textile Road paving project this year, here’s our plan for winter maintenance:
- For the next couple of weeks, the responsibility for winter maintenance for Textile Road from State Road to Michigan Avenue (US-12) falls on our contractor, Hoffman Brothers.
- Once Hoffman Brothers has finished a few items, responsibility of winter maintenance for the completed segments of Textile Road from State Road to Campbell Road; and Textile Road from Platt Road to Michigan Avenue (US-12) will revert back to the Washtenaw County Road Commission’s responsibility.
- Winter maintenance for the segment of Textile Road from Campbell Road to Platt Road will remain the responsibility of Hoffman Brothers throughout the entire winter season. This segment will be closed to through-traffic all winter.
