On Monday, July 6, 2026, the contractor working on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC), began assembling the replacement box culvert that will be installed on Warner Rd between Jewell Rd and Judd Rd in York Township.
Coming up:
- Excavation and removal of the old culvert
- Pumping out of the existing water around the culvert site
Warner Rd remains closed between Jewell Rd and Judd Rd in York Township. The detour will continue to be in effect, and motorists are advised to follow this route for the duration of the project.

WHY: Culvert replacement
BACKGROUND: On Monday, July 6, 2026, a contractor working on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Warner Rd between Jewell Rd and Judd Rd in York Township for a culvert replacement.
The work is expected to be completed in approximately four weeks. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
The road will be closed to all through traffic. WCRC encourages drivers to use the detour.

WHY: Forestry
BACKGROUND: On Monday, March 23, 2026, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will be performing forestry work on Warner Rd between Bemis Rd and US-12 in Pittsfield and York Townships.
The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to intermittent lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route.
The forestry work is expected to take approximately five days to complete. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
