Wagner Rd: Light at the End of the Tunnel

By September 16, 2021Project Updates

There will be a lot of moving parts on the Wagner Rd Safety Improvement Project in Lodi and Scio Townships over the next 2 weeks. We ask for everyone’s patience as we work to coordinate multiple project tasks in a short timeframe.

Here are some of the major items we have left to do at the intersection of Waters Rd and Wagner Rd in Lodi Township:

  • Pave top layer of asphalt
  • Place gravel shoulders
  • Install guardrail
  • Install overhead flashing beacon
  • Restore turf
  • Misc. punch list items

In addition, we are planning to chip seal then fog seal Wagner Rd between Ann Arbor-Saline Rd and Liberty Rd in Lodi and Scio Townships. Chip seal and fog seal help to seal pavement and extend its life. Click here to read more about this practice.

Once the chip seal and fog seal is completed, our contractor will return to Wagner Rd sometime this fall to place permanent pavement markings, centerline rumble strips, signage and other punch list items.

All of this work is, of course, weather dependent and the schedule is pretty fluid. If you have any questions, please contact Elena Yadykina, engineer – Traffic and Safety, (734) 327-6675, yadykinae@wcroads.org.
