Yesterday, the contractor reopened the newly aligned Ecorse Rd and Ford Blvd intersection within the US-12 and M-17 Improvement project in Ypsilanti Township. This marks a huge milestone towards completing the project. The remaining work will be completed under a combination of lane and shoulder closures. Please continue to use caution when traveling in this work zone.
Next week, the contractor hopes to remove parts of the old Dorset roadway and pave shoulders along US-12. Sidewalk work along Service Dr, plantings and other clean-up work will continue as well. The road work is expected to be completed in November if the weather cooperates. Final traffic signal work will follow the completion of the road work.
