Tree cutting and clearing along Grove Road between Margarita Street and Harris Road is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. This work is expected to take four days, weather permitting. The clearing is expected to include two large trees, as well as several smaller trees and brush. This clearing is being performed on an expedited schedule, in order to advance the probable slope repair work and to avoid the uncontrolled loss of the trees.
The contractor has been directed to flush cut the trees to the ground, with the stumps to remain in place, as this may provide some continued stability to the slope.
