Snow Slowing Us Down

By November 12, 2019Project Updates

Well, there’s nothing like 10+ inches of snow in November to slow down a bridge project. Yesterday’s storm, unfortunately, has delayed completion of some of the final items on the Saline-Milan Road Bridge in York Township.

Our contractor was able to complete the guardrail installation yesterday. One of the last items left is pavement markings, we cannot open the bridge until at least temporary markings have been placed. We’re working with our operations department and our contractor to get the bridge cleared of ice and snow as quickly as possible. Once the road has sufficiently dried out, we will place the temporary pavement markings and reopen the road.

We are doing everything we can to get this bridge open. At this point, we need a little help from Mother Nature. If you have questions, please contact Nate Murphy, bridge engineer, [email protected], (734) 327-6647.
