The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) is improving safety at the intersection of Earhart Rd, Old Earhart Rd and Goss Rd in Ann Arbor Township, next week.
The week of July 7, 2025, the intersection of Earhart Rd, Old Earhart Rd and Goss Rd in Ann Arbor Township will be converted to an all-way stop, also known as a four-way stop. Currently, the intersection is a 2-way stop with Earhart Rd traffic having the right-of-way.
The purpose for the change is that through our evaluation of the intersection it was determined that warrants were met for a multi-way stop based on the Michigan Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MMUTCD). The modification will improve the safety of the intersection. Weather permitting, the conversion will be implemented the week of July 7th. Warning signs will be installed in advance of the new stop signs to alert motorists of the change.
Motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution through the intersection once the change has been implemented.
