Road Reconstruction Underway

By September 10, 2019Project Updates

Road reconstruction of Grove Road between Margarita Street and Harris Road has officially begun! Last week, E.T. Mackenzie, our contractors for this stage of the project, began working on earthwork and preparing the area for the new storm sewer outlet.

During this phase of the project, our contractors will remove damaged curb, sidewalk, storm sewer, and pavement. New storm sewer will then be installed, including a new storm sewer outlet to Ford Lake. This work is expected to take approximately four weeks, depending on the weather. Once that has been completed, new curb, sidewalk, asphalt pavement, guardrail, and pavement markings will be installed which will take another approximately two weeks.

Grove Road will remain closed between Margarita Street and Harris Road to facilitate this construction. Residents who live within the work zone will continue to have access to their homes, all other traffic must follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route.

If you have any questions, please contact Aaron Berkholz, senior project manager, (734) 327-6648 or [email protected].
