Road Closure: Grove Road (Ypsilanti Twp)

WHEN: Starting Thursday, July 18, 2019

WHERE: Grove Road between Margarita Street and Harris Road in Ypsilanti Township

WHY: Slope stabilization and road repairs

BACKGROUND: On Thursday, July 18, 2019, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will close Grove Road between Margarita Street and Harris Road in Ypsilanti Township to through traffic.

This closure will allow for slope stabilization and the subsequent reconstruction of a portion of Grove Road. This closure is expected to last approximately six to eight weeks, but will depend upon weather, site conditions, scope of work, and contractor schedules.

Access to the residential properties and Loon Feather Point Park will be maintained. However, on-street parking will not be permitted on Grove Road between Margarita Street and Harris Road.

This work requires the placement of steel sheeting along the slope and will be very noisy during the day.
