Ridge/Hack Construction Open House: August 19

WHAT: Ridge Rd and Hack Rd Intersection Improvement Project

WHEN: Monday, August 19, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: York Township Hall, 11560 Stony Creek Rd., Milan

WHY: The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will hold a construction open house to provide information and answer questions about the Ridge Rd and Hack Rd Intersection Improvement Project.

The open house will be held at the York Township Hall, 11560 Stony Creek Rd, Milan, on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will not be a formal presentation at this meeting, WCRC staff will be there to answer questions and show project information in an open house format.

Construction is expected to begin this October. During this project WCRC, in partnership with the Monroe County Road Commission, will make the following improvements:

  • Realign intersections of Ridge Rd and Hack Rd and at Westfall Rd
  • Wedging of the Ridge Rd curve and installing of a high friction surface
  • Installing centerline and shoulder rumble strips on the curve
  • Paving shoulders along the curve
  • Paving the gravel road approaches
