The week of May 26, 2026, a contractor working on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) continued a 2025 Safety project in Lyndon Township by resurfacing curves on Werkner Rd, Stofer Rd, and Island Lake Rd. The contractor milled, paved, placed aggregate shoulders, and installed temporary pavement markings. This new surface will allow for the installation of high friction surface treatment (HFST) on the curves, enhancing safety for motorists.
Up Next:
- Installation of a high friction surface treatment in mid to late September
- Permanent pavement markings
