Project Update: Construction to Pause

By June 29, 2023Project Updates

Construction will pause on the D3 section of the Border-to-Border (B2B) Trail along the Huron River in Scio Township.

The contractor is continuing to grade the projected pathway and place aggregate stone base. Additionally, good progress has been made on the railing along one of the retaining walls in the pathway.

As of next week, the project will come to a pause. No work will be taking place on the project during the months of July and August while the contractor awaits approvals from Amtrak. The contractor expects work to resume after Labor Day.

Until further notice, restrictions will be lifted on Huron River Dr between Zeeb Rd and Delhi Rd in Scio Township. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses. For your safety, please refrain from entering the project limits, as the project is not complete, and it remains as an active work zone.
