Construction is progressing on the roundabout at the intersection of Bemis Rd and Whittaker Rd, in Augusta and Ypsilanti Townships.
The contractor is installing a storm sewer which is expected to be complete next week. Meantime, preparations to build a stable base are underway. The next steps are to place the aggregate base for the roadway and concrete curb installations.
As a reminder, the intersection of Bemis Rd and Whittaker Rd is CLOSED to all traffic for the safety of the public and construction workers. Please refrain from entering the project limits, as it is an active construction zone. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
