Construction is progressing on the Michigan Ave Reconstruction project, between the I-94 westbound off-ramp and the Hewitt Rd intersection in Ypsilanti Township. Currently, the contractor is replacing sidewalk ramps but will close the newly constructed ramps during the weekend of July 1 & 2, to allow time for curing.
The contractor is postponing the paving operation on Michigan Ave due to weather conditions and contractor scheduling. They plan to begin paving during the week of July 3rd. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change based on weather conditions and contractor scheduling.
As a reminder, the project limits are closed until paving is completed. Please refrain from entering the project limits, as it is still an active work zone. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
