Project Update: Construction Is Going Well

Construction is going well on the D3 section of the Border-to-Border (B2B) Trail along the Huron River in Scio Township.

Over the past few weeks, the contractor has been able to complete the storm sewer and perform a large amount of grading. Currently, the contractor is continuing to grade the projected trail and work on the retaining walls. The contractor has begun installing an infiltration trench in some locations along the trail to help with drainage and place stone in preparation for asphalt paving.

The contractor expects to continue this work for the next few weeks. Residents can expect to see intermittent lane restrictions on Huron River Dr between Zeeb Rd and Delhi Rd in Scio Township during the remainder of construction for the trail.

As a reminder, please refrain from entering the pathway project limits, as it is an active construction zone. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
