Construction is going well on the Michigan Ave reconstruction project in Ypsilanti Township.
Over the past few weeks, our contractor has been removing the existing surface of the roadway. Currently, our contractor is placing and grading an aggregate (stone) base for the roadway and is continuing to install curb and gutter throughout the project limits.
As a reminder, Michigan Ave between I-94 and Hewitt Rd is CLOSED to all traffic. Please refrain from entering the project limits, as it is an active construction zone. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
