Construction is getting close to wrapping up on the Michigan Ave reconstruction project in Ypsilanti Township.
Our contractor has installed curb and gutter throughout the project limits and prepped the road base for the new pavement. The contractor hopes to begin paving the roadway next week. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change based on weather conditions and contractor scheduling.
As a reminder, Michigan Ave between I-94 and Hewitt Rd is CLOSED to all traffic. Please refrain from entering the project limits, as it is an active construction zone. Please be aware of construction signs and follow the posted detour. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
