Project Update: Almost Complete!

By September 21, 2023Project Updates

Construction on the Platt Rd Greenway II Pathway project near Platt Rd, between Wall Park and Waterfowl Blvd in Pittsfield Township, is nearly complete!

Most aspects of the project construction are being finalized. Currently, the pathway remains closed while the contractor places topsoil and grass seed. Once completed, the pathway will open to pedestrian traffic.

The contractor is still waiting on mast arms, which should arrive late this fall. The mast arms will have illuminated signs over the crosswalks, as well as flashing beacons, to alert vehicles that there is someone in the crosswalk. Until the mast arms are placed, please use caution while crossing at the designated locations.

The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses. Have questions about the project? Contact Chris Brinks, project engineer, at (734) 647-2788, or via email at [email protected]
