This week, the contractor placed the wingwalls of the new structure for the Stony Creek Rd Bridge over Paint Creek between Textile Rd and Whittaker Rd in Ypsilanti Township. The bridge crew is continuing to backfill material behind the wingwalls to bring it up to grade.
The contractor will place concrete for the headwalls next, and then move toward building up the road base.
It’s important to remember that Stony Creek Rd is closed between Textile and Whittaker Rd. Here is a link to the official detour.
