The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) roundabout project taking place at the intersection of Whittaker Rd and Willis Rd in Augusta Township is going well!
Over the past week, the contractor has been successful in the installation of the storm drain and underdrain required for proper removal of water from the roadway surface. The aggregate base (sub layer) for the roadway is being placed and expected to be leveled by the end of the weekend. However, recent rain events could delay progress until things dry out. The contractor plans to begin pouring concrete for the curb lines the week of July 15.
The intersection of Whittaker Rd and Willis Rd remains closed to the traveling public. Access will only be maintained for residents who live or work within the construction zone.
WCRC will continue to send out updates as the project progresses. Have questions about the project? Contact Kevin Dubnicki, Project Manager – Design & Construction, at (734) 327-6693, or via email at [email protected].
