Project Update #5: Warren Rd Culvert Replacement (Ann Arbor Twp)

By October 31, 2025Project Updates

During the week of October 20, 2025, J. Sebastian Trucking & Excavating, the contractor working on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) completed the backfill necessary to secure the culvert into place on Warren Rd between Dixboro Rd and Thornwood Ct in Ann Arbor Township. The contractor also removed the construction dam and bypass pumps to allow the tributary to Fleming Creek to flow freely again.

Next steps:

  • Continued backfilling of the culvert up to road elevation
  • Roadside slope work on the north/south sides of Warren Rd
  • Guardrail installation

As part of the project, this section of Warren Road continues to be closed to all traffic. A signed detour is in place.

WCRC appreciates your patience as we work with our partners, including Ann Arbor Township and the Water Resources Commission, to improve local county road infrastructure. Updates will be shared as the project progresses.

If you have any questions concerning this work, please contact Neeko Robison, Project Manager, (734)327-6660, or via email at [email protected]
