Project Update #5: Bemis Rd Reconstruction Project (Augusta & Ypsilanti Twps)

The week of May 26th, E.T. MacKenzie, the contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC), began installing erosion control systems and excavating to provide enhanced drainage for storm water run-off on Bemis Rd between Stony Creek Rd and Hitchingham Rd in Augusta and Ypsilanti Townships.

This week, the contractor is planning to install storm sewer and drainage structures while continuing to grade the road for placement of the new aggregate base.

As a reminder, Bemis Rd between Stony Creek Rd and Hitchingham Rd is closed for approximately 12 weeks, weather permitting.

WCRC will provide further updates as additional information becomes available and as the project progresses.
