During the week of October 13th, J. Sebastian Trucking & Excavating, the contractor working on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC), installed the wingwalls (vertical retaining walls) and began backfilling the culvert with sand on Warren Rd between Dixboro Rd and Thornwood Ct in Ann Arbor Township.
Next steps:
- Placement of riprap (stone) for stream (scour) control
- Removal of the temporary dam, returning the stream flow through the new culvert
- Continued backfill up to the elevation of the road
As part of the project, this section of Warren Road is closed to all traffic. A signed detour is in place.
WCRC appreciates your patience as we work with our partners, including Ann Arbor Township and the Water Resources Commission, to improve local county road infrastructure. Updates will be shared as the project progresses.
If you have any questions concerning this work, please contact Neeko Robison, Project Manager, (734)327-6660, or via email at [email protected]
