During the week of May 18, the contractor working on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) finished paving the newly constructed roundabout at the intersection of Martz Road at Whittaker Road in Ypsilanti Township. Current work activities include site cleanup, restoration of the disturbed areas, and installation of permanent signage. Upon completion of these project elements, the contractor will place the final pavement markings. In the coming weeks, DTE is also anticipated to complete installation of the street lighting associated with the project.
The intersection of Martz Rd and Whittaker Rd remains closed to all traffic. Please follow the posted detour. WCRC will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
