On February 20, 2026, a Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) contractor completed the setting of the strain poles (structural supports) for the three-way traffic signal at the intersection of Parker Rd at Shield Rd in Lima and Scio Townships. On February 25, 2026, the contractor started the overhead traffic signal work.
During the week of March 2, 2026, the contractor will continue working on the overhead signal work. Once the overhead work is completed, the signal will be in flash for at least one week before it is made fully operational.
WCRC will keep residents informed as the intersection improvements progress.
