The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) and our bridge design consultant have completed the design phase for the proposed new Sharon Valley Road Bridge over the River Raisin. New bridge construction, including the closure of the road, between Sharon Hollow Road and Meyers Road in Sharon Township will start in Fall 2026.
The project has advanced to the contractor bidding stage, managed by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
Postponing construction to Fall 2026 will better facilitate the first phase of construction operations.
