Heads up Scio Township! The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) concrete rehabilitation project on Jackson Rd between Jackson Industrial Dr and Myrtle Ave will begin soon!
On Monday, July 8, portable changeable message signs (electronic message boards) regarding the project start date were placed on Jackson Rd. Construction is expected to begin Monday, July 15. Lane restrictions will be in place starting July 15 in the westbound lanes of Jackson Rd.
The first step of construction will be sawing and removing the existing concrete, curb and pavement sections. Based on the significant traffic volumes on Jackson Rd, motorists can expect delays in the area.
