The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC), in coordination with the Contractor, has partially reopened the intersection of Island Lake Road and Dexter-Pinckney Road on a temporary basis. The west and north approaches are now accessible to traffic, and the intersection is currently operating as a multi-way stop. Island Lake Road remains closed east of the intersection.
Additional traffic signal installation is planned for later this summer, which will necessitate another full closure of the intersection at Island Lake Road and Dexter-Pinckney Road. The official detour will continue to be in effect, and motorists are advised to follow this route for the duration of the project.
