The D3 Segment of the Border-to-Border trail along the Huron River in Scio Township is starting to take shape!
Since the last update, the contractor has been able to pour the pile caps for the bridge abutments (i.e. create stabilization for the bridge) and pour some sidewalks. Next step will be placing and securing the actual bridge and continuing paving operations for the pathway.
As a reminder, the pathway remains closed to the public. Even though there is asphalt on some portions of the trail, this location continues to be an active construction zone and is not open for public use. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
