Construction is expected to get loud on the D3 Segment of the Border-to-Border Trail along the Huron River in Scio Township.
Over the next few weeks, as the contractor prepares to place the pedestrian bridge, workers will begin pile driving. The work involves using a pile driving machine to pound long steel piles into the soil to create a stable foundation for the bridge abutments. Residents should expect loud noise levels between the hours of 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, while this work is being performed.
As a reminder, please refrain from entering the project site or climbing on the bridge pieces. This location continues to be an active construction zone and is not open for public use. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
