On June 8, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) closed State Rd between Michigan Ave (US-12) and Old State Rd in Pittsfield Township. During the week of June 8th, the contractor working on behalf of the WCRC completed removing the existing shoulder material, carried out excavation and grading along the widened section, and initiated the culvert replacement just south of Old State Rd.
Looking ahead:
- Completion of the culvert and grading work
- Installation of the aggregate base
- Installation of the concrete curb and gutter
Throughout the closure, access to local businesses remains open. WCRC would like to remind motorists to be extra cautious; please proceed slowly through the construction area and remain attentive to both construction personnel and fellow drivers to ensure everyone’s safety. WCRC will continue to send updates as the project progresses.
