Project Update #1: Metty Dr (Scio Twp)

By September 20, 2024Project Updates

The week of Monday, September 30, 2024, a contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) is scheduled to begin resurfacing Metty Dr between Jackson Rd and the cul-de-sac in Scio Township.

Motorists can anticipate lane restrictions while the contactor is crushing and shaping the existing road, placing the leveling course (first layer) of asphalt and the wearing course (top layer) of asphalt throughout the project limits, weather permitting.  The final phase is placing aggregate (stone) shoulders and pavement markings. The project is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.

The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses. Have questions? Contact Mike Bernbeck, Project Manager – Design & Construction, (734) 327-6654, or via email at [email protected].
