On July 22, 2026, the contractor working on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) began milling (removing) the existing road surface on Holmes Rd between Ford Rd and US-12BR (Michigan Ave) in Ypsilanti Township. Once the milling was completed, the contractor began asphalt paving. New permanent pavement markings have been installed on the freshly paved surface. The project is now complete.
