On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the intersection of Dixboro Rd and Pontiac Trail in Northfield and Salem Townships was closed to begin the construction of a roundabout. The contractor removed the existing road surface, installed the culverts and storm sewer within the project limits and have begun installing the embankment and stone base.
The intersection remains closed to all traffic, so please follow the posted detour. The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will continue to send out updates as the project progresses.
