Unfortunately, our contractors have recently discovered an unexpected utility conflict on the Chubb Road paving project in Salem Township. This conflict must be resolved before the road project can resume. This will delay the completion of the road project until the spring of 2020.
We were able to get asphalt down on Chubb Road between the railroad tracks and 6 Mile Road. Our contractor is hoping to pave the final layer of asphalt in this section before Thanksgiving if the weather cooperates. The section of Chubb Road between 5 Mile Rd and the railroad tracks will be buttoned up with some additional gravel in the coming days and the contractors will return in the spring to complete the curb/gutter and pavement.
We are now soliciting bids for the unexpected utility work and hope to have a schedule soon.
