As of yesterday afternoon, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) and its contractor substantially completed Textile Road from State Rd to Campbell Rd and Platt Rd to Michigan Av (US-12). These segments are now open to all traffic. The section of Textile Road between Campbell Rd and Platt Rd remains closed to through traffic and will be closed throughout the winter.
Unfortunately, due to the early onset of colder weather and the impacts of the labor dispute between the Michigan Transportation and Infrastructure Association and the Operating Engineer’s Local 324, WCRC and its contractor will not complete the entire Textile Road Paving Project this year. Hoffman Brothers will return in the spring to complete the road project and build the Textile-Platt Greenway. WCRC now expects the project to be completed in the summer of 2019.
