Spring is officially here (despite the snowflakes yesterday) and we have already made a lot of progress at the intersection of Pontiac Tr and N. Territorial Rd in Salem Township. Last week, our tree contractor completed felling all the trees. This week, they will be onsite grinding/removing stumps.
Utility relocation is also ongoing. A contractor for DTE will be out over the next few weeks installing new utility poles. This work will be conducted under intermittent lane restrictions. Please slow down and give all construction crews plenty of space to work.
We are hoping to start roundabout construction this summer. We should have more details in the coming weeks and we will hold a construction information meeting prior to the closure.
