Phase 2 of the Ann Arbor-Saline Road concrete repair project is underway. The road was closed yesterday morning between Waters Road/Lohr Road and the I-94 ramps. The intersection of Waters Road/Lohr Road remains open and the I-94 ramps also remain open.
We know that the detour route and surrounding roads were very congested yesterday. We are actively monitoring the work zone and detour route, including signage, and have already made some changes to help clarify the closure. We are working closely with the City of Ann Arbor to make adjustments to traffic signal timing where we can.
Right now, the closure is expected to last 3 weeks but that is weather dependent. Thank you for your patience during this particularly difficult road closure.
