Paving Progress

By November 5, 2019Project Updates

Thanks to a break in the weather this week, our contractors were able to complete asphalt paving yesterday on the Huron River Drive segment of the Border-to-Border pathway in Scio Township. Wooden decking was also placed on Bridge #1 this week.

While we are making good progress, this is still an active construction zone. For the safety of yourself and the work crews, please stay away from the construction zone, including bridge and boardwalk structures. The pathway is not open to users yet.

If you have questions about the construction project, please contact Jason Voigt, project manager, (313) 434-4601, [email protected].

This project is part of the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission’s Border-to-Border Trail Network in partnership with the Huron Waterloo Pathway Initiative. The Washtenaw County Road Commission is involved with this project to help administer federal funds from the Transportation Alternatives Program Grant.
