Miller Rd: Paving the Way

It was another great week on the Miller Rd Bridge Replacement Project in Scio Township. Our contractor finished pouring the concrete pavement over the bridge on Tuesday. We are now waiting for the concrete to cure. In the meantime, our contractor has started to backfill some areas. Once the concrete has cured sufficiently, we will place asphalt road approaches at the bridge.

We are also preparing for the three-step road resurfacing work to begin soon:

  • Step 1- Pulverize the pavement and roadbed on Miller Rd between E. Delhi Rd and the bridge and then between the bridge and Wagner Rd. We are hoping this work will begin next week.
  • Step 2- After those sections have been pulverized, our contractor will mill/grind off the top layer of pavement between Zeeb Rd and E. Delhi Rd.
  • Step 3 – Pave Miller Rd between Zeeb Rd and Wagner Rd. The milled section will get one layer of pavement and the pulverized sections will get two layers.

We know there is a lot going on and we really appreciate your patience. Access for all local residents living within the Miller Rd work zone will be maintained at all times during the work.
