Well, the weather has finally cooperated enough with us for paving on Textile Road. Our contractor will begin paving the first layer of asphalt today.
Reminder – this first layer will cap the gravel and grading work that has already been completed, protecting the roadbed from weather and construction traffic. Once this first layer has been installed, our contractor will focus on building the pathway. The plan is to substantially complete the pathway before paving the final two layers of asphalt on the road later this summer.
WCRC expects the project to be completed by the end of July. As a reminder, Textile Road remains closed to ALL traffic from the Thomas Road intersection to just west of Platt Road in Pittsfield Township.
