Invitation to Bid – Zeeb Road Project

Bids must be electronically submitted to, where they will be downloaded at 11 a.m. Local Time, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 for constructing the following:

The Zeeb Road improvement project is located in Sections 3, 4, 9 & 10 of Lodi Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan.The project consists of HMA Crushing and shaping, earthwork, drainage improvements, HMA paving, concrete curb and gutter, gravel shoulders, and pavement markings.

Prospective bidders shall conform to the Michigan Department of Transportation prequalification requirements. Net classification required for this project is Cb (Hot Mix Asphalt/Bituminous Paving) or Ea (Grading, Drainage Structures & Aggregate Construction). All subcontractors shall be required to meet the prequalification class of the particular items that they will be working on as part of this project. An electronic bid bond in the sum of not less than five (5%) of the base bid price is required by the instructions to bidders.

Bids shall be completed electronically on Bids shall be electronically signed by an authorized agent of the bidder. Bids failing to meet these requirements will not be considered.

The WCRC, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 200d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.

The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of the same; to waive irregularities and/or informalities and to make the award in part or entirety as may appear to be in the best interest of the County of Washtenaw.
