INVITATION TO BID

Bids must be electronically submitted to https://www.bidexpress.com/, where they will be downloaded at 11 a.m. Local Time, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 for constructing the following:

2018 Traffic Calming Project

  • This project consists of installation of 13 concrete speed humps, pavement markings, and all other related work as set forth in the bid documents.

Prospective bidders shall conform to the Michigan Department of Transportation prequalification requirements. All subcontractors shall be required to meet the prequalification class of the particular items that they will be working on as part of this project.

Bids shall be submitted electronically to https://www.bidexpress.com/. A Digital ID from the https://www.bidexpress.com/ website will be required to submit a bid. Please allow for five (5) business days for BidExpress to approve and enable the Digital ID.

An electronic bidder’s bond in the sum of not less than five (5%) of the base bid price is required by the instructions to bidders.

The WCRC, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 200d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of gender, disability, race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.

The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of the same; to waive irregularities and/or informalities and to make the award in part or entirety as may appear to be in the best interest of the County of Washtenaw.
