Later this fall, we are planning to resurface Huron River Dr between Brass Creek Dr and N. Territorial Rd on the border of Dexter and Webster Townships.
As part of this project, we will trim tree canopy along the roadside and remove certain dead or dying trees, improve roadside drainage in certain areas and replace a few crossroad culverts. All of these improvements will help to extend the life of the new pavement once it has been placed.
First on the list is forestry. We will have a crew on site later this week to start trimming tree canopy and removing certain dead/dying trees within the road right-of-way.
This forestry work will be conducted under daytime road closures, the road will be closed to through traffic during the day and then reopen each evening. Residents who live or work within the project limits will be provided access throughout construction. An additional advisory will be sent via email ahead of these closures.
