We are making great progress on the Border-to-Border Trail from Dexter-Huron Metropark to Zeeb Road. The temporary bridge that was erected to facilitate construction has been removed. Only a few items are left to be completed, including permanent signs and pavement markings. The trail will open to traffic on April 1, 2020. In the meantime the area remains a construction zone, even though you may or may not see workers present every day. We know that some people, with the best of intentions, are talking about salting the trail to make it easier to use in the winter but please do not do that. Salting the trail including the boardwalks or bridges, can be harmful because it degrades the wood and steel more quickly. We are looking forward to everyone being able to use the trail in the spring!!
