This week at the Hewitt Rd Safety Project in Ypsilanti Township, our contractor has started work on the pedestrian refuge island, just north of Harding Ave. This refuge island is designed to help pedestrians safely cross a multi-lane road.
As long as the weather cooperates this week, they are also planning to begin pouring concrete for the curb and the new sidewalk on the west side of Hewitt Rd. Thank you for your patience as we make steady progress on this project.
