Curing Time!

By October 15, 2019Project Updates

All the concrete for phase 1 of the repair work on Ann Arbor-Saline Road in Pittsfield Township has been poured. The concrete is now curing to allow it to gain strength, the curing time depends completely on the weather and temperatures over the next few days.

Once it’s strong enough for traffic, the joints will be sealed and pavement markings applied before the road can be reopened to traffic.

Please note, during this process, it will look like nothing is happening in this work zone, but please know that very important processes are occurring within the concrete. No traffic of any kind is allowed to travel on the closed portion of the roadway. In the past, we’ve had projects where bicyclists or pedestrians have traversed concrete that looked ready, only to cause substantial damage. We appreciate your patience during this process.

If you have any questions concerning this work, please contact Michele Ford, project manager, (734) 327-6652, or via email at [email protected].
